Stories organize every Brand conversation and Computer run into a daily session bar. Status colors and badge indicators show at a glance what is working, what is ready, and where your input is needed.

What it is

The Stories bar sits at the top of your Brand workspace, grouped by date. Each circular item represents an active or past session — either your ongoing conversation with the Brand, or a Computer run (such as Creative Studio or Product Development) producing a specific outcome. Every story communicates two independent signals without requiring you to open it:
  1. The icon color reflects execution state — whether a Computer is currently running, completed, stopped, or encountered an error.
  2. The badge dot indicates unread activity — alerting you when an agent asked a question, requested an approval, completed a deliverable, or reported a failure.

How to use it

Reading the Stories bar

The Stories bar displays your sessions in chronological order from left to right. The pinned first entry is your direct Brand conversation. Every subsequent bubble represents a Computer run, labeled with its topic or project name.

Identifying sessions that need attention

Scan the bar for the badge dot. A badge appears on the bottom-right corner of a story bubble whenever that session requires your attention or holds fresh updates. Hover over any story bubble to see its full title in a tooltip.

Opening and resuming a session

Click any story bubble to open that session. The conversation history, generated media, and live preview canvas load immediately. Opening a story marks all its notifications as seen and dismisses the badge dot. Use the date controls at the top right of the bar to navigate to previous days. Each day retains its complete history of runs and conversations, allowing you to review past deliverables or continue earlier threads.

What You Need to Know

When the badge appears

The badge dot appears exclusively when a session holds activity you have not seen yet:
  • Agent questions (ask_user): The agent paused execution and is waiting for your direct response or design decision.
  • Approval checkpoints: The multi-agent workflow reached a milestone requiring your explicit sign-off before proceeding.
  • New agent replies: An agent finished its turn and delivered a new response in that conversation.
  • Job completions: A background job completed and delivered its outcome into the session (for example, a finished video draft or a scaffolded app).
  • Job failures: A background job encountered an error and reported the failure into the session for your review.
  • Activity while away: Any update that arrived while you were in a different Brand or offline appears with a badge when you return.

What does not trigger a badge

To prevent unnecessary alerts, internal platform events do not raise a badge:
  • Background computer start-ups and shutdowns do not trigger a badge (they only update the icon color).
  • Internal file writes and scaffolding steps do not trigger a badge.
  • Internal communication between subagents does not trigger a badge.

How the badge clears

  • Opening the story: Clicking and opening a story records that session as seen up to that moment, clearing the badge dot.
  • Active on screen: If a story is already open and visible on your screen, incoming messages and updates are marked seen immediately and do not raise a badge.
  • Client persistence: Your seen record is stored in your browser session. A question you already viewed will not badge again unless a new reply or notification arrives.

Story types

Scheduled tasks automatically appear as new story bubbles when their fire time arrives. Each scheduled run starts an independent Video or Code story scoped to that build. See Scheduled Tasks for details on setting up recurring runs.

Tips

  • Look for red or badged bubbles first. A red icon indicates a stopped job needing review; a badge indicates an agent waiting on your decision.
  • Keep story titles descriptive. Specific topics like “Q3 SaaS metrics explainer” make identifying individual runs on the bar effortless.
  • Use the Brand conversation for strategy, Computers for deliverables. Use the pinned Brand tab to refine briefs and plan campaigns, and launch Computers for actual production runs.
  • Check previous days for context. Past stories remain permanently accessible so you can branch new ideas from completed builds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Green indicates that your Computer run completed its deliverable (such as a finished video render). The badge dot means the completion notification arrived and you have not opened the story to review it yet. Opening the story clears the badge.
Opening the story marks the question as seen and dismisses the badge dot. The badge will not reappear for that same question, but will trigger again if the agent sends a follow-up notification or message.
Yes. You can have multiple Computer runs active at the same time across different story tabs. Amber icons show which runs are currently working in the background, and badges will notify you as each finishes.
No. Stories persist permanently within the Brand. You can navigate back to any date to review past runs, inspect outputs, or continue refining deliverables.
A grey icon indicates a stopped session where no computer is actively running and no deliverable is ready. Opening the story allows you to resume the conversation and restart execution.
